Zhiao Yu

PhD Candidate, Stanford University

Zhiao Yu received his B.S. in Materials Chemistry (2017) from Peking University, as an honored undergraduate. He is currently a 5th-year PhD candidate majored in Organic Chemistry at Stanford University.
Zhiao works in the Department of Chemical Engineering under the supervision of Zhenan Bao and Yi Cui. His current research projects are focused on advanced materials for energy storage, including polymer coatings, solid electrolytes, and liquid electrolytes to enable next-generation realistic lithium-metal batteries. Beyond research, Zhiao is active in entrepreneurship and ventures.
