WINNER DETERMINATION

Winners will be determined according to the process set forth below.

Judging Phase: During the Judging Phase, the submissions will first be evaluated by a panel of 9 students from the executive board of Stanford Energy Club.  This panel will select 10 finalists.  The 10 finalists will then be evaluated by a judging panel consisting of Stanford faculty, students, and industry experts on the Stanford Global Energy Forum Advisory Board.  From this final panel, 3 winners will be selected.

If there are fewer than 10 entries to the competition, the competition will still proceed and three winners will be selected.

Submissions will be judged according to the following criteria:
Demonstrated impact: Has your solution been deployed in the real world, and what measurable impact has it had (i.e., money saved, pollution reduced, households benefited, jobs created)?
Scalability: How scalable is your solution?  Does it account for cost, geography, and other practical constraints?
Innovation:  How does your solution differ from conventional practices?  What were the greatest challenges you had to overcome?
